After qualifying for the British Duathlon team at Steyning, i was selected to race in Serres, Greece at the European Duathlon Championships. 10km run, 40km cycle and 5 km run to finish.
I was competing in the 20-24 age group. I went through the run within the top 10 in about 33.30. I lost ground on the cycle as i didnt have a lightweight time trial bike, and drafting was not allowed. I made some up on the final run and finshed in just over 2 hours in 22nd overall. However i was the fastest finisher in my age group, so was pleased with that.
