Luckily, I am able to get excellent Physio through the RAF, so we soon cleared this issue. However, since receiving my 2nd vaccine I have been struggling with Achilles Tendinitis. I don't know whether this came on as a side effect from the vaccine or if it was just a coincidence. Font Romeu - Altitude Training Part Deux

Day 8 AM: 8m (16x400m on the track at 10km Effort) PM: 5m easy I was back on the track this morning and wanted to give my body more of a speed workout. I wanted to do some 10km pace stuff, so dropped down to 400s to allow for this. The 800s the week before at HM pace were hard and I wasn't going into this session fresh, so again didn't know how I would get on. The track started off quieter, apart from some students learning the javelin on the infield, which I kept a close eye on! I managed to settle into the 10km pace for each lap, with approx 60-90sec off between each rep. I got to 10 and thought that it was enough. But 2 more reps would be 3 miles. I then thought I'd do 15 reps and then felt ok, so finished with 16 reps. I could have carried on, but didn't want to get greedy, I need to progress gradually. Hot or cold, wet or dry, are you the type of runner that just throws on an old pair of running shorts and top, before heading out the door with no fuss? Your shoes may be worn down and you're developing a few holes in your shorts, but that doesn't bother you, just get the run done. No need for water bottles or nutrition (that's for the weak!), as I'd rather suffer. or, Do you stand there in your expensive clothing, compression socks, and Gore-Tex jacket, while waiting for your GPS to confirm a signal? Do you fiddle with your phone or iPod to get your playlist set up or maybe check which Strava segments you will target. For longer runs you may be carrying a few gels or even a water bottle or backpack. Actually, today you may take your credit card and buy yourself a treat half way round. There is no right or wrong way to go for a run. There are pros and cons to each strategy and you will still get the training effect either way. However, different tactics may help some
